The competition is the largest parquet laying event in the continent. Their main aim is to bring together parquet laying circles at a European level. The Championships take place every two years under the aegis of the European Society for the Education and Furthering of Parquet Laying Techniques EUFA P+F.
For the second time Poland has the honour of organising the largest parquet laying contest in the continent.
The competition will take place between 26-28 May 2010 in Poznań during the Home Décor fair.
So far teams from seven countries have confirmed their participation. This means that at least 14 parquet layers under the age of 25 will take part in the competition. Similarly as with competitions on a national level, competitors will be required to lay and complete a floor pattern in wood over an area of 1m². Two days have been allocated for the work.
The contest is organised on behalf of the host country by: Ogólnopolskie Stowarzyszenie Parkieciarzy i Stowarzyszenie „Parkieciarze Polscy" [The National Association of Parquet Layers and the "Polish Parquet Layers" Association].
